Usual methods of meditation can be completed faster than charka meditation. In total we have seven chakras and nearly it takes two hours to complete chakra meditation on all of them. To begin with we need to first understand these seven chakras, their locations and then how to perform chakra meditation.

Root chakra is placed for your stability, balance and safety and is situated at the spine base. Sacral chakra is located at the lower abdomen and is positioned for sexuality, enthusiasm, and abilities for higher consciousness and psychic abilities. Color of this chakra is orange. Solar Plexus chakra is positioned to find our will power and is located just under the chest. This chakra is positioned for power and impulsive actions and its color is yellow.

The center for unconditional love and compassion is the heart chakra which is located in the chest and its color is green. Throat chakra is the place where our communication abilities and the capability to express ourselves verbally are positioned. Color of this chakra is sky blue and it is situated below the head on the throat. Third Eye chakra is our window to the world of spirituality and has the capability to see beyond the physical world. Color of this chakra is indigo and it is located on the forehead. Crown chakra is the direct channel to higher consciousness, color is violet and it is situated on top of the head.

There are two approaches that can be followed fro chakra meditation. Balancing of the body with chakra spots can be done or the colors can be seen as linked with chakra spots. Start the chakra meditation by thinking of a red ball expanding in size as well as strength when you breathe in and out.

For chakra meditation two types of approaches can be followed. Either you can see the colors linked with chakra spots or imagine your energy being balanced in the chakra spots in your body. Chakra meditation can be started by imagining a red ball expanding in strength and size when you breathe in and out.

If your focus is on the color of the chakra, your speed of coming out of it must be slowed down. However do not forget that brightness of the color should remain the same. Allow your body to come to this conscious world slowly once your chakra meditation is complete.

You will not only gain your confidence back but also peace of mind with chakra meditation. Keep your focus on the colors of the chakra with chakra meditation. This meditation should be followed in an environment which is calm and it will help you to open your closed chakras.

You will not only open your closed chakras but eventually learn to embrace the world and feel protected. The seven chakras are linked with dissimilar personality and skills. If any one chakra is closed, there shall be disharmony and imbalance in the chakras. So go ahead and regain the lost confidence back and your peace of mind with chakra meditation.

The Seven Main Reiki Chakras

The term Reiki Chakras refer to the seven energy centers in a human body located in a vertical straight line from the base of the spinal cord to the crown of one’s head. These chakras are whorls of energy, located in a person’s subtle within and are the energy receiving and transmitting centre for the same.

If we follow human anatomy, Reiki chakras are major nerve ganglia originating from the spinal cord and are associated to a number of important organs in a human’s body. If the seven Reiki chakras open and working well, they keep a person healthy physically and emotionally. But if there is any blockage or the energy is misdirected or imbalanced, an individual may face a number of problems physically as well as psychologically.

Reiki technique on the other hand is all about palm healing. Thus, when a chakra is blocked or the energy flow is not balanced, the Reiki technique is performed by a Reiki master on the diseased person in order to open or balance the chakra. Essentially Reiki involves the master receiving the infinite positive energy of the cosmos, acting as a conduit and directs and channelizes this energy through his palms in order to heal an over active or under active chakra of the diseased.

The seven Reiki chakras in a person’s body are those of the base/root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown of the head chakras, each of which are connected to vital organs of the body as well as the endocrine system of the same. Starting with the base or root Reiki chakra, located at the bottom of the pelvis, at the last bone of the spinal cord, it can be said to be connected to the organs of rectum, large intestine, leg bones, spine, kidney and the adrenal gland.

The sacral and the solar plexus chakras are the second and third Reiki chakras respectively. The reproduction system of a person, that is, all the organs like the testicles, spleen, urinary bladder and ovaries are the concern of the sacral chakra. On the other hand the metabolism system, including the gall bladder, liver stomach, small intestine and the pancreas are linked to the solar plexus chakra.

The fourth of the Reiki chakras is the heart chakra that controls a person’s heart and the blood circulation system in the body. If this chakra is not balanced then the heart, the arms, lower lungs, skin and the thymus gland that are linked with it ceases to function properly. Again, the throat chakra resides at the base of the throat of a person and is mainly connected to the thyroid gland. Needless to say, physically this chakra affects the throat, upper lungs jaw and also the vocal cords. Indirectly, the digestive system may also be affected by this chakra.

The third eye chakra, situated between the two eyebrows and the crown of the head chakra are the final two Reiki chakras reflecting spiritual wisdom. Though the crown of the head chakra is not linked to any of the human anatomy directly, but it is the seat of spiritual power in an individual, that constitutes a persons being, his sole reason for existence. The third eye chakra below is connected to the nose, eyes, face and also the brain and the all important pituitary gland of a person.

Thus we can conclude that Reiki chakras are important physically as well as for the mental, spiritual and emotional well being of a person. To illustrate further, the base chakra is linked to man’s roots, the sacral and solar plexus chakras deal with a persons relations with others and his own personal power respectively. The emotions and lessons of the strength of unconditional love is given by the heart chakra while his creativity, power of communication and expression is linked to the throat chakra. The third eye chakra stands as the gateway of the spiritual path, behind the person’s ability to visualize and meditate and lastly the crown of the head chakra is all about the attainment of man’s full potential by realizing the ultimate spiritual truth.

How To Become A Reiki Master

A reiki Master is one who has reached the highest level or degree in the art of Reiki. This means that not only is he able to heal himself and others through palm healing techniques across time and space but also has the ability to control and use advanced reiki symbols in order to access the infinite energy of the cosmos and channelize it through his palms on to a diseased.

A Reiki Master is also the one who is in a position to teach and attune others in the art of Reiki. Teaching Reiki does not follow the typical classroom method. On the contrary, it is an ability or skill that is transferred from the Reiki master to the recipients in much the same way as positive energy is transferred for healing purposes. This process is known as Reiki attunement which only a Reiki master can perform.

The word Reiki is made of the two terms ‘Rei’ and ‘Ki’ referring to ‘Universal’ and ‘Life force energy’ respectively. In this ancient Tibetan technique of palm healing, which was popularized by Dr. Mikao Usui, the Reiki master accesses the infinite positive energy of the universe and channelizes it through his palms to open and balance the seven energy meridians or chakras in the human body located from the base of the spine to the crown of the head.

A Reiki Master can heal another person in two ways. Either he undertakes localized reiki for specific portions or parts of another’s body that are diseased or injured, or various hand positions are used to channelize energy flow for a whole body treatment where the seven reiki chakras are assessed and blocked or mis-directed chakras are opened and balanced for the person’s physical, mental, psychological and spiritual wellbeing.

Reiki attunement for the practitioners is done by reiki masters in three levels. Knowledge about basic theories and other practices is imparted in the first level, known as Shoden in Japanese. The reiki master educates the trainees of various hand positions which can be used for healing others. The reiki master decides the duration of this level.

Known as Shokuden in Japanese, the second level of Reiki attunement involves the Reiki master training his pupil on the various Reiki symbols so as to empower the healing process which facilitates the energy flow. The pupil learns how to connect the energy flow from the cosmos to the diseased person’s body. At the end of this level the pupil would be able to heal others across time and space.

Shinpiden is the last level of reiki training undertaken by the master. Here the student becomes the master at the end of the level, and he can teach others the art of reiki. The knowledge regarding advanced reiki symbols and control over the same, for healing powers is gained. When the master attunes the practitioner, the latter turns into a master himself.

A Reiki master is the person who is the expert in all healing purposes and he is the one who attunes other practitioners in the same art using his palms, drawing symbols, stroking, blowing, chanting and tapping in process. Thus, it can be concluded that the Reiki Master is the most crucial person or the main pillar in the practice of Reiki and through him this divine and spiritual tool of human wellbeing lives on.

A Chakra Test May Change Your Life!

Chakra Test is a kind of test for the seven centers of energy in the human body and to find out which centers are open, under-active or over-active in receiving and transmitting energies. According to science, these chakras are important nerve ganglia which generate from the spinal chord and are actually points of energy which are placed in a vertical and straight line from the base of the spine upto the crown of the head.

The seven chakras are those of the Base or Root Chakra, the sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown of the head chakras commonly named according to their location in the body. Having its roots in the ancient Sanskrit word of Hinduism, the chakras reflect the state or condition a person is in all aspects such as physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual. Hence, Chakra tests are crucial in order to assess the state and for future wellbeing of the person.

A person can by himself take up the Chakra Test upon himself. You can easily understand if you have a physical problem. You should analyze those parts of your anatomy which are not readily responding and identify the sterile or misdirected chakra. If you have a digestive problem, fix up your corresponding Chakra. The same can be done if you have a weak heart or lower back pain or thyroid problems. The corresponding chakras are to be fixed up to work properly and you will be healthy again.

The second point is that, not only physical problems, but also the analyzing of ones own emotions, like love, or fear, can be defined as a chakra test, e.g. if a person is suffering from insecurity, or the fear of rejection or criticism and is not being able to express himself then he can be sure that his root, heart and solar plexus chakras respectively, needs to e opened up or balanced.

The third point is that in this age of digital revolution and the internet, chakra tests can even be undertaken online. These are actually tests of about 50 to 80 questions asked to you about yourself, your fears, and your positive points, thus coming to conclusion that which of your charkas are open, closed or hyperactive.

As a fourth chakra test technique you might also give your close friend or someone who knows you well a set of such questionnaire to be filled up about yourself to get an unbiased and more accurate chakra test result. This method holds good when you are not too sure about yourself.

You can also try out the Kinesiology Test. Stand upright. Stretch your dominant hand straight up on the side. Place your other hand on the seven chakra positions one by one. At the same times try to concentrate. Meanwhile, your partner must try to push down your dominant hand. This should be done at least a seven times for seven chakras. The whole cycle should be repeated twice or thrice. There is a pattern that can be realized. Your partner has definitely found it hard to push down your dominant hand for some chakras while for the others it was easy. In case of the chakras where pushing down the hand was difficult, those chakras are open while the others need to be worked upon.

Thus, it can be seen that both online and offline chakra tests give you fairly a good idea regarding which of them needs to be worked upon, so that one can proceed with chakra meditation and chakra exercises thereafter in order to open and balance these energy meridians for the complete wellbeing in all aspects of life.

Chakra Balancing And Meditation The Essential Tools

According to Hindu thought, chakras are the energy centers of the human body. These are the key points at which our life force move through the body and are what keeps our body and mind functioning properly and in harmony with each other. While you can’t see your chakras, the major chakras are closely associated with the major parts of your endocrine system (which is tangible).

Our chakras are responsible for controlling the flow of energy into and out of our bodies. We depend on this constant flow of energy both internally and between our bodies and our environment. To keep in good health, our chakras must be in a balanced state.

The seven major chakras are ties to the function of a particular gland in our endocrine system. Our chakras are tied to everything we go through; each feeling, sensation and experience we have are related to our chakras.

Physical, emotional and mental stress can cause imbalance in the function of our chakras and when this occurs we feel lethargic or show signs of physical illnesses. This illness is a manifestation that there is something not right about how our chakra functions.

To get the most of the harmonious function of our chakras, chakra balance must be maintained. Regular chakra balancing is key to keeping in good health, similar to the way that a machine needs preventative maintenance.

Importance of Chakra Balancing: Many different methods can be used to keep our chakras in proper balance. The goal of those who want to lead a happy, healthy and productive life is to keep their chakras in perfect balance with one another.

This all begins with an understanding that each chakra resonates to a different frequency; these frequencies are naturally occurring and help the chakras to perform their important function of transmitting and receiving energy; also known as prana or chi.

When we are ill, our chakras are not performing properly because they are out of balance. This can make our problems even worse; and a chakric system which is out of balance fosters ill health. Other than illness, an imbalance can be due to lack of exercise, stress or poor diet.

The balance of your chakras can, happily, be restored; although they will get out of balance from time to time, but this can be corrected.

Tools of Chakra Balancing: The most commonly used ways of restoring chakra balance are light, sound, crystals and gems, aromatherapy and color.

Colors: Commonly used colors and their corresponding chakras are red (the root chakra), orange (the sacral chakra), yellow (the solar plexus chakra), green and turquoise (the heart chakra), blue (the throat chakra), violet (the crown chakra) and white for any of the seven primary chakras.

Crystals and Gems: For millennia, laying gens, crystals and stones on the body at the location of the chakras has been used to restore chakra balance., Each chakra corresponds to a different color; so laying a stone of this color on the bodily area which corresponds to it can help to reach the proper balance, which in turn helps the body to heal.

The light reflected by these stones can also help by getting this light into the body (and your chakras).

Light: Light therapy uses light on the eyes, the meridian points used in acupuncture and the areas where the body has the strongest reflexes in order to deliver the proper frequencies to restore chakra balance. Light is made up of both visible and invisible frequencies, including those which are beneficial to the chakras. The spectrum of light is very broad, so this is an effective means of chakra balancing.

Aromatherapy: Aromatherapy is the use of scented candles, fragrant massage oils and bath soaps in order to capitalize on the healing properties and physiological effects of the chemical ingredients of plants? essential oils that make up the base product. Essential oils are able to clean, set free and restore an individual’s stability of thoughts and emotions because they can affect a person’s mental, emotion and spiritual aspects. Aromatherapy is generally employed to relieve stress, promote physical and mental relaxation, combat fatigue and depression and as an aid to meditation.

Sound: The use of tuning forks, soft music, quartz crystal, Tibetan bowls, and other objects to generate an agreeable resonance is also utilized to achieve a healthier well-being. Sound has natural vibration and resonance therapeutic effect because it affects us emotionally. Beautiful and melodious sounds can induce serenity and calm whereas chaotic sounds produce dissension and discord. Sound can be used to achieve a quiet and peaceful atmosphere in order to better faster healing and achieve higher levels of consciousness.

Until very recently, chakra balancing was a difficult process which could take a great deal of time. However, technological advances in the audio field have brought us binaural frequencies, subliminal sound and self-hypnosis recordings; all of which have made chakra balancing much easier to achieve.

Chakra Meditation – Chakra Sound Secrets Revealed!

The word chakra comes from the Sanskrit language, and means a vortex or spinning wheel. It is also used to refer to the seven chakras found in the human body, corresponding to the different glands of the body. The first chakra is found at the spinal base and the seventh at the crown. All chakras are centers of spinning energy.

As the chakra is a center of spinning energy and something that moves, it causes vibrations. These vibrations cause sound and this is the reason why there is vibration in different parts of the body through chakra sounds of varying frequencies.

The seven chakras have seven chakra sounds associated with it. In addition to sound, colors also vibrate at a specific frequency and each chakra has a color associated with it. It is the combined effort of chakra sound and color that helps restore balance in the chakras, which in turn restores health.

You only need your voice for sound healing via chakra sounds, to feel better, calmer and clearer in a matter of minutes. However these chakra sounds should be soft and gentle, and not longer than five minutes duration each.

1. Sound healing starts with the deepest sound you can make, UH. This is to be done with eyes closed and attention concentrated on the base chakra of your spinal base. With this sound, you have to note the sound resonance in the body in the chakra, and not from your throat. This chakra sound can be visualized with red color and should be said for a minute or two.

2. The next chakra sound has to come from the second chakra found three inches below the naval. You have to chant OOO while complimenting the chakra sound with orange. You have to chant with eyes closed to experience the balancing of the chakra with other chakras for one or two minutes.

3. OH is the third chakra sound that has to come from the navel chakra located in the navel area. Yellow is the complimenting color and the chakra sound should start softly and gently, but with a higher tone than the last sound.

4. AH is the sound people cry out when in love, and is also the chakra sound for the heart chakra. This chakra is located in the middle of the chest, and is related to love. It is associated with the color green and has to be started with a soft and gentle sound that has a higher pitch than the previous chakra sound.

5. The chakra sound for the throat chakra is EYE which is complemented by the color blue and is to be chanted at a higher pitch than previous sounds.

6. AYE is the chakra sound for the third chakra found a bit higher than the two eyes, and in the forehead. The chakra sound is associated with indigo and has to be started with a soft and gentle tone, but should be of a higher pitch than previous sounds.

7. The crown chakra situated at the top of the head is where you chant the highest sound possible, EEE. This chakra sound is complemented with the color purple that starts with the highest sound you can make, EEE. Like other chakra sounds, this chakra sound also starts softly and gently.

You have to close your eyes when chanting all the chakra sounds while concentrating on different chakras. When you focus on the different chakras, you find chakra sounds projecting from the respective chakras. And with the resonance of the sound chakras, each chakra starts balancing and aligning with other chakras.

After the exercise, you are sure to feel light headed. It is better to relax or meditate after this to process your experience and realize the actual benefits you gain through chakra sounds.

Cleansing Our Chakras For Life Changing Results!

With all of the environmental and physical factors we are exposed to regularly, it’s important to take good care of your health; and spiritual health is a big part of this. Your chakras are no less susceptible to these factors than are any other parts of your body and your chakras can also be affected by spiritual and emotional events. This makes chakra cleansing a necessary part of maintaining your health through keeping mind, body and spirit in balance. Regular chakra cleansing keeps us healthy and ensures the proper flow of energy through our bodies.

Body, spirit and mind need to be in harmony with each other and chakra cleansing can keep these elements in balance; like getting regular exercise, it?s just another part of living a healthy lifestyle.

What follows is a list of some of the chakra cleansing techniques which have been shown to be effective and have been used for many centuries.

*Smudging: Smudging involves letting herbs smolder; their smoke can eliminate the negative energy which prevents the flow of energy through your chakras. White sage is one of the best ? burn some of this herb in a room after closing the doors and windows so that the smoke fills the room; you?ll need to be in the room for a few minutes to get the chakra cleansing benefits of smudging.

*Auric brushing: Crystals and gems can be used to heal and cleanse chakras, but should only be done by a trained professional as if not done the right way, this technique can cause damage.

*Diet and rest: A nutritionally balanced healthy diet that includes lots of water and fresh vegetable and fruit juices is important. You should also be sure to get enough sleep every night; these steps will keep your chakras in better shape, since your mental, spiritual and physical health are all dependent on each other.

*Regular exercise and proper breathing helps to keep your chakras working properly.

*Nature: Spending some time in nature can be an effective method of chakra cleansing. Get out into the countryside and observe the plants and animals even if you live in a city, you can do this at a park; the important thing is to make some time to experience the natural world.

*Color therapy: Each of your chakras has a corresponding color and can be stimulated and cleansed of negative energy by visualizing these colors or by looking at them.

*Music: Music is a powerful means of chakra cleansing as well as a way to activate chakras and boost the function of the endocrine system.

*Keep your mind active: When you continue to learn and grow intellectually, you are keeping your energy centers (the chakras) active.

*Make a little time every day to meditate and reflect on your day. This gives you perspective and is a very effective method of chakra cleansing.

*Love yourself: You cannot give or receive love until you first love yourself; love causes the production of brain chemicals which produce a sensation of well being and is also healthy for your chakras.

*Stay in tune with your emotions: You need to be able to accept and understand your emotions and when necessary, communicate your feelings to other people. When you repress your emotions, you allow negative energies to build up and cause chakra blockages.

*Creativity: You need to make creativity a part of your life. Letting your creativity out will make you a happier person and allow for proper chakric function.

*Past lives: To get the full benefits of chakra cleansing, you have to be open to learning from the lessons of your past lives. You can gain insight into yourself which will facilitate the process of chakra cleansing.

*Be the change you want to see in the world: Live your life in accordance with the principles of honesty, respect and trust.

*Prayer: Like meditation, prayer can quiet your mind and the more quiet you become, the more you can hear; this can open your mind and keep your chakras in balance.

All of these chakra cleansing techniques can work for you and should be practiced regularly. It may not happen overnight, but when you keep up using these chakra cleansing methods, you’ll start to see the benefits and have a higher quality of life.

Know More About Our Chakra System

Chakrology is a term introduced by practitioners of alternative medicine and New Age philosophers to describe the study of the chakra system, the human bodys energy processing centers identified almost four thousand years ago by the Ancient Hindus.

It is believed that the human bodys energy centers number in the thousands of which seven are considered of vital importance to our individual well being. The major energy points that comprise our chakra system are the energy centers that all together contribute to our spiritual, mental, and physical well being and essence as an individual person.

The active functions of the major chakras contribute individually to the totality of the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of our life. Each one of our seven energy centers with their own specific character is compatible to a unique feature of our being. They work in a continuous relationship with one another towards achieving balance in the human body and are not vying for ascendancy over another of the other chakra points.

An interesting note to consider is the similarity of all the models used to portray our chakra system, regardless of philosophical and/or educational background. They all illustrate a connection to our glandular system!

New Age philosophers go further in giving a graphic representation of the bodys major chakras by assigning one of the primary colors Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet for each of the seven major energy centers in our body. Coincidental or not, colors are also used to depict different levels of energy that emanate from the environment, including the people and objects therein.

Although the energy points of our chakra system can not be seen, they are considered as extensions or invisible gateways to the endocrine glands that they correspond to. A chakric malfunction whether benign or not, directly affects our endocrinal system and therefore our body. Since they are the gateways of energy to and from our body, any blockages can result in our illness as well and an imbalance of our health.

The positioning and role of the chakras in our totality (physical, mental and emotional) as human beings give them significant importance in two aspects of our lives: health and illness.

An integral approach to taking care of our body is necessary in order to achieve total wellness. Considering that the nature of our chakra centers is a continuous interaction between themselves, the environment and our body, it can not be dissociated from the physical being simply because it can not be seen. Although this is the case, the physical manifestations of malfunction is very clear and concrete as each one of our energy centers affect certain parts of our physical and spiritual being.

It is widely accepted that only five of our seven energy centers possess both an active and passive quality. These are the second to the sixth energy centers. Of the seven, the first and seventh energy centers do not have this active/passive quality inherent in the other five. This first and seventh chakra points are the ones that initially receive more energy than others.

It is necessary to understand and be conscious of the functioning of our chakra centers because more energy is channeled through the first and seventh energy centers. With constant exercise of our chakra points, we can manipulate them to send and receive energy equally.
